Is that your mission- to be training the coaching leaders of the future?
A. If not the
leaders then certainly some of the most motivated followers. Even if we
can only make a small contribution we would like one of our legacies to
be-
we helped coaches learn a mindset which they would use through their careers
so they could ask the kinds of questions of their clients and themselves
that gave them the opportunity to always approach excellence.
Q.
Any other advice you might have about coach training and establishing
yourself as a coach?
A. Coaching
is not a fad.
Coaching is an in-depth experience that helps people and organizations
change fundamentals and build new foundations. In building a coaching practice,
prepare to be building for months and years, not days and weeks. Just
as excellent coaching takes time to work, so too does building a coaching
practice take time to put in place. Its a commitment.Just as untiring
persistence and humility are the two identifiable qualities of the best
leaders, so too are those qualities instrumental in molding coaches to
those leaders.
Our ECA program is prepared to be with you for the duration of your career.
We recommend that you hire a coach yourself to find out if the process
works for you.
